The 3rd grade students had an exciting scientific experience in the school’s laboratory, where they conducted an experiment to understand the phenomenon of capillarity in plants.

Through this activity, the students used lettuce leaves and containers with water dyed with food coloring. During the observation, they were able to see how the water traveled up through the plant’s tissues, causing the leaves to change color. This process allowed them to understand how plants absorb water and nutrients from their roots to their leaves.

Activities like this reinforce interest in science from an early age and allow children to experience firsthand the natural principles that govern the world around them. Undoubtedly, it was an enriching and fun day that left a great impression on our young scientists.
