Yesterday, our 1st, 2nd and 3rd ESO students took part in a street art tour around the centre of Madrid. Guided entirely in English, they explored different areas of the city while learning about the stories, techniques and messages behind some of Madrid’s most striking murals and graffiti. It was a great opportunity to experience the city from a different perspective while also practising their listening skills in a real-life context.
After the tour, students had the chance to get creative themselves. They designed and painted their own graffiti-style pieces, either on paper sheets or on T-shirts that some of them had brought along.
To round off the day, we headed to El Retiro Park, where we enjoyed lunch together in a relaxed setting. Students then had some free time to unwind, socialise and make the most of the surroundings.
All in all, it was a fun, creative and engaging day out—combining art, language learning and time together outside the classroom.
